The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the formal process through which adults (those over 14 at St. Ann) pursue initiation into the full communion of the Catholic Church. A fully initiated Catholic is one who has received the 3 sacraments of initiation - Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. A fully practicing Catholic is one who follows the basic precepts required by the Catholic Church.
The OCIA is an open and engaging process that begins with an admission interview with the pastor of St. Ann, so that your particular journey of faith and desires can be understood and addressed.
Frequently asked questions, a schedule for the year, and registration that will commence the process, can be found at the links to the right of this page.
We welcome any questions. We hope you will explore Catholic initiation through St. Ann!
If you are already an initiated Catholic and would like to review or deepen your Catholic faith, you are welcome to attend OCIA. If you would like to explore volunteering, thank you and please visit our OCIA Volunteer Opportunities page to learn more and register.
