"Strive to enter through the narrow gate,” Jesus tells us. “Many will attempt…but will not be strong enough.” So let us never be so foolish that we rely on our own strength. Narrow does not mean unpassable — not if we ask for help.

Jesus tells us that he has come to set fire to the earth. What can we give him as kindling? Let us look into our souls and see where the fire of Christ can be ignited, and pray that our souls may be consumed by its life-giving flames.

We are the servants and God is our master. He has told us His will, and given us all that we need to carry out His directions. Do we have the courage to act as our master desires? Do we have what it takes to be stewards of God’s grace?

Jesus warns us that at any moment we can be called before God to face judgment. When we are, our life will be measured not in dollars or accomplishments, but in what matters to God.

Today, Jesus encourages his disciples to be persistent and bold in praying to God. Can you think of a time when God answered a bold prayer from you?

Today, we read/hear in the 2nd reading, Paul found reasons to rejoice despite suffering for his faith in Christ and his mission to the Gentiles. How do you find joy and hope in difficult situations?

Today, we read/hear about the good Samaritan. In this parable, Jesus teaches the lawyer that a neighbor is anyone you treat with mercy. Who might you treat with mercy this week?

As he sends his disciples into the world to proclaim his name, Jesus tells them to be bold. He tells them to be flexible. To be forgiving. To be faithful. As we enter this week, let’s remember these instructions. It’s good advice, in any century.

Today we will hear how Jesus commissioned Peter to be the foundation (“rock”) of his Church. Are there any roles or responsibilities you feel called to do here at St. Ann?

Today we celebrate the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. In the Gospel we heard about how Jesus spoke to the crowds about the kingdom of God, and he healed those who needed to be cured. (Lk 9:11b) Thank you, Lord, for the Eucharist!

Today is Trinity Sunday celebrating the doctrine of the Trinity, the three Persons of God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We delight in God's multifaceted nature and His unique presence in all things.

Today we celebrate Pentecost! In the first reading, we'll hear about how the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and able to speak in multiple tongues so that all the people could understand them.

Today we celebrate the Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ — when he returned to heaven, promising to be with us always. May we boldly share his Good News until he comes again!

Today, we hear how Jesus taught his disciples that the Holy Spirit will be sent to believers to teach them and remind them of his words. Can you share a time when you have felt inspired by the Holy Spirit?

"As I have loved you"- John 13:34. Question of the Week? Jesus modeled for his disciples how to love one another. Do you have friends or co-workers who show you how to love others?

Let us unite in prayer for our new Holy Father, that the Holy Spirit may guide Pope Leo XIV with wisdom, courage, and compassion as he shepherds the Church.

Today we hear the story of when Jesus bid the disciples to bring their bounty of fish to the fire, to gather around it, to be warmed and fed. God’s invitation is for all of us: come to the fire of His love. Be warmed. Be fed. Then, go forth, and feed the sheep.

Thomas needed proof to believe the amazing things that had happened. God, in His mercy, gave him that proof — but it was up to Thomas to accept it. Do we accept the proof we see of God’s love every day?

I want to explore this truth of the Resurrection with you, the beloved people of St. Ann. So let's get to it in these 50 glorious days given over to these graces of becoming who we are destined to be, the risen and magnificent children of God.
